c1900, Signed CIGARETTE CASE - SILVER & ENAMEL (3O25) Start Price USD 2,000.00 Current Price USD 2,000.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, September 16, 2008 End Time Thursday, October 16, 2008 Location Wynnewood, PA See more about 'c1900, Signed CIGARETTE CASE - SILVER & ENAMEL (3O25)' Description Exceptional and finely detailed, signed antique Solid Silver and Enamel Cigarette Case, dating to circa: 1900.  Most probably French in origin.   The antique Enameled Cigarette Case depicts a beautiful young nude woman, stands in a landscape with with a raised arm, holding a flame or ray of light over her head (reminicent of the Statue of Liberty).    Birds in the foreground and in the distance fly around her.  A flowing pink wind-blown scarf gracefully wraps around parts of her body, concealing parts of her figure.  Is tremendous piece!  The antique Cigarette Case is signed on the lower right corner.  It looks to reads:  H. Gray or possibly H. Cray.   Also with touchmarks on the case, which we believe to be French.   The marks are:  C.F.  within a rectangular box and VB inside of a diamond, with a Star above and below the letter.   Also 2 additional marks not sharp enough to read or photograph.  The antique Enameled Cigarette Case measures 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" .   Note the enamel near the thumb grip appears to have been repaired at some time and there are a few minor dings and a couple of minor scratches.  Is in otherwise very fine condition.   Very beautiful piece, heavy weight and an unusual subject.   Shows very well in the photos and even prettier and more detailed in person!   Have included many images----scroll all the way across and down to view all photographs.     NO RESERVE.  For payment we prefer PayPal (with confirmed address), though accept money orders, personal checks in U.S. dollars, Visa and MasterCard.  See Payment details for more information.  Pennsylvania residents add 6% sales tax.
