DUPONT NY 5TH AVENUE LIMITED EDITION OF 1929' Description S.T. DUPONT NY 5TH AVENUE LIMITED EDITION OF 1929 This exquisite fountain pen and lighter are from S. T. Dupont's Fifth Avenue collection. Designed to be a tribute to New York's architecture, there were only 1929 of each produced to symbolize the year Dupont made his first trip to New York. Each  is crafted in taupe and chocolate lacquers embellished with pale gold metallic high relief overlays. The central motif on each piece is a globe design inspired by the 1936 statue of Atlas at Rockefeller Center. The guilloche, chasing, engraving, precious metal plating and polishing are all done by hand, employing 50 of Dupont's expert craftsmen to work on each piece. The fountain pen requires 160 hours to complete while the lighter requires 120 hours. Both the pen and  lighter have  never been used and are housed in an elegant presentation case with each numbered 0246 of 1929. The photographs illustrate the incredible workmanship.
